Meet Alicia Leming Ivey

For Alicia Ivey, gospel music is more than a lifelong passion—it’s a calling, a ministry, and a testimony of the redeeming power of Jesus Christ.
Born into a gospel music family, Alicia’s musical roots run deep. From 1977 to 2009, her family, The Lemings, traveled throughout their home state of Georgia, sharing the Gospel through song. Growing up surrounded by faith, family, and music, Alicia developed a love for ministry that would become an enduring part of her life. Over the years, she recorded multiple projects with The Lemings and lent her voice as a background vocalist on numerous gospel recordings.
Most recently, Alicia stepped into a new chapter of her musical journey with the recording of her first solo album, Sunday Morning, a heartfelt collection of beloved hymns that reflects her deep appreciation for the timeless truths of God’s Word.
But beyond the music is a powerful story of grace, restoration, and deliverance.
For 23 years, Alicia battled an addiction to prescription narcotics—a journey marked by struggles that only the transforming power of God could overcome. Today, she boldly shares how Jesus saved her, healed her, and delivered her from the bondage of addiction. Her testimony is a living reminder that no life is beyond God’s reach, no situation is beyond His power, and no story is too broken for Him to redeem.
As a speaker, worship leader, songwriter, and solo artist, Alicia combines heartfelt music with an authentic testimony to encourage those who are hurting, strengthen those who are struggling, and point people to the hope found in Jesus Christ. Whether standing behind a microphone to sing or sharing her story from a platform, her heart’s desire is the same: to make much of Jesus and remind others that freedom, healing, and restoration are possible through Him.
Away from the platform, Alicia treasures her greatest earthly blessings—her family. She and her husband celebrated 30 years of marriage in June, and together they are the proud parents of their 22 year old daughter, Olivia.
From her beginnings in family gospel music to the testimony she carries today, Alicia’s journey is a beautiful picture of God’s faithfulness. Through every season, one truth remains at the center of her ministry: God is still saving, still healing, and still delivering.
And Alicia is living proof.
